Ask around: What does the Club at Boca Pointe stand for?
Some of the adjectives used are: Warm, friendly, engaging, accepting, open arms, inviting. Not pretentious!
These qualities become significant once you have made the decision to move to South Florida and begin to look at a lifestyle that will be important to you. Moving from your first and maybe only home “up north” can be, and often is, traumatic and dramatic. The questions often dancing through your mind include: Do I move into a country club, do I live in a gated community, where will I fit it, how will social life take shape?
Those are common questions facing those moving to South Florida or spending more seasonal time in the area. “We hear that all the time,” says Helen Karpel, general manager of the Club at Boca Pointe. “The hallmark for our Club is very simple: warm, embracing, and accepting.
“Our Club is wide open. Whatever activities you enjoy, from fitness to tennis, golf, dining, playing cards or enjoying lectures and Broadway-style entertainment, the Club at Boca Pointe makes it easy to participate. You can even enjoy doing nothing…just hang out around the pool or the clubhouse, ‘it’s all yours for the taking.’ Walk once around the clubhouse and you will make friends instantly – that is Boca Pointe!
“All clubs offer golf, tennis, fitness, card rooms and dining. The main and very important difference, however, that makes the Club at Boca Pointe stand out is its social programming.
“Our social director is tops in South Florida. In fact, many of our Club’s counterparts call our social director for help and guidance. Not only does she book trips, Broadway shows, FAU professor lectures, Friday night shows at the Club, and so much more, but she is instrumental in helping new members socialize,” adds Karpel. “No new member is left behind. Our social director reaches out to all new members and plays a major role in integrating them into club life.
“Our Club is built on the premise that you do not have to live at Boca Pointe to play or socialize here. We are no different than most clubs in the north that are non-residential, where most members live anywhere from 20 to 30 minutes from their club. While the Club at Boca Pointe does have a strong residential base, we have a number of membership programs that allow you to play here without living here. Some members elect to live closer to the ocean in such communities as Highland Beach, Deerfield Beach, and Pompano Beach as well as throughout Boca Raton.” explains Karpel.
The Club at Boca Pointe has designed a number of memberships that allow members to choose the type of activities they prefer, including its unique Premier membership that allows you to join for as few as three consecutive months (first year only) and then four consecutive months thereafter to accommodate seasonal Floridians. There is also an Annual Golf membership for those whose main interest is to play golf on a private, championship golf course.
With so many membership offerings and especially the Premier membership with members joining for just a fraction of the year, it is important for members to be able to make friends, love life and create memories quickly to get the most out of their stay. The Club at Boca Pointe has earned the reputation of being instrumental in helping ease the transition of its members into their new lifestyle regardless of where they decide to live in South Florida.
The Club at Boca Pointe is the only full service country club in South Florida that is not mandatory residency or not mandatory equity – the only thing mandatory for its members is to have fun and is one of the nicest country clubs in Boca Raton! Call 561-864-8539 today to learn more!
