MUSIC FILLS THE CALENDAR THIS SEASON AT THE CLUB AT BOCA POINTE

If you are, then the place for you is the Club at Boca Pointe! This season’s event calendar is loaded with music-themed lectures, shows and concerts.

The Club at Boca Pointe is the only equity country club in SOnce, Newsies, Grinch, Kinky Boots, Dirty Dancing, Beautiful, A Funny Thing Happened on outh Florida where members can define their own lifestyle, whether or not they are residents of the Boca Pointe community, and select among year-round or seasonal memberships. The Club offers equity and non-equity memberships, including its unique non-equity Premier membership that allows a first year member to take as few as three consecutive months and a returning members as few as four consecutive months up to 12 months.

As part of the Premier membership, members enjoy the Club’s social activities, which are fine tuned to include much music! Is this music to your ears? Well, at the Club at Boca Pointe, it literally could be! For example, the Marleen and Harold Forkas Lifelong Learning Center brings together the best from FAU. Here is a listing of activities with a music theme:

–Cantor Paul Offenkrantz has a series of lectures on the Great Tenors from Caruso to Kaufmann.

–Rod MacDonald will cover in four sessions Tony Bennett, Lady Gaga, Lena Horne, Nina Simone, Diana Krall, Oscar Peterson, Herbie Hancock, Yo Yo Ma, as well Hair and Les Miserables.

Heather Coltman covers: Maria Callas, Mendelsohn, Chopin, Liszt, Schumann and Brahms.

If that is not enough music, then you have the Broadway Series. The series includes Once, Newsies, Grinch, Kinky Boots, Dirty Dancing, Beautiful, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Hello Dolly, South Pacific and the West Side Story.

There’s still more available to enjoy with the Community Performing Arts Series. This series features Umi Garrett, Kol Esperanza, Ethan Bortnick, the Jerusalem tenors and Sondheim on Sondheim.

And, the “cherry on top” is that you leave the driving to the Club at Boca Pointe. The Club takes you from the clubhouse to the theatre’s front door and back to the clubhouse, leaving your only responsibility as having fun!

On the home front, there is even more! The Club at Boca Pointe hosts Lynn University Conservatory of Music Concerts throughout the season on Sunday afternoons. It always proves to be a loving day!
