BOCA-POINTE 1“We are very fortunate to have a dedicated staff,” says Helen Karpel, general manager at The Club at Boca Pointe. “Many of our employees have been at the Club for more than 10 years which is a lifetime in the hospitality/club industry. We have found from member response cards that the personal touch by our staff from the moment the member steps into one of our dining facilities is very much appreciated.” she adds.

Boca Pointe enjoys a blended family of equity and non-equity members who together form strong friendships. The added touch of recognition by the staff goes a long way towards satisfaction and the country club experience. With the popular seasonal Premier membership, the staff sees many new faces annually; however, after two or three friendly visits to the dining room, the members’ names become indelibly printed in the staff’s memory bank.

“In addition to our friendly staff of waiters and servers, it is not unusual for our executive chef with his toque on to come out of the kitchen and tour the dining room, stopping to chat with members or just saying, ‘hello, how are you?’ And, that’s on top of the food and beverage managers circulating in the room, chatting with members, checking on their orders. If a member chooses the buffet over the menu and is balancing two plates from a buffet, it is not unusual to have a busboy virtually insist on carrying the plates for the member and walking them to their table. It is all about friendly quality service at Boca Pointe,” shares Ms. Karpel.
