More than 500 dinners (or covers as they say in the restaurant industry) were served in Boca Pointe’s two welcoming restaurants on Valentine’s Day! How many restaurants can handle that many covers in one night without a hitch? “Not many,” says Terry Daniels, executive chef at the Club at Boca Pointe, which is uniquely defined as a non-mandatory equity membership. It is a private, equity country club lifestyle without the mandatory equity country club commitment.
“It was an exciting night,” beams Helen Karpel, general manager of the Club at Boca Pointe. “Not only was the annual Valentine’s Day Dinner Dance a huge success, it was wonderful to see equity and non-equity members laughing and dancing together throughout the evening. The night was filled with friends meeting up with friends and new friendships being made as everyone was enjoying what Boca Pointe offers its members – highly quality member service, thoughtfully planned entertainment, and the opportunity to make amazing memories.”
While the Club had 220 reservations for its highly popular, rose-colored Valentine dinner dance in the Main Dining Room, there were nearly 300 additional members seeking reservations and hoping to dine at the Club. Even with all the choices in Boca Raton, Boca Pointe members know the Club is the place to be – no one makes it more special on the holidays!
This year, the weather on Valentine’s Day was unusually cool but a beautiful Florida night to cuddle. Boca Pointe shared its love by accommodating everyone. Without hesitation, the Club happily granted access to open its second restaurant, the Grand Café. As a result, the Grand Café welcomed nearly 300 members and their guest on Valentine’s Day to enjoy a delicious meal and lots of loving.
“We are delighted to see how our members mix and mingle among all the different membership offerings, whether it is on the golf course, tennis courts or at our memorable social functions. Every year, we marvel at members enthusiastically sharing how important Boca Pointe has become in their life – with their calendar dominated by Boca Pointe activities and friendships growing exponentially.” shares Ms. Karpel.
Both equity and non-equity memberships have their benefits. By not requiring residency in the Boca Pointe community nor requiring members to buy into the equity, the Club has become a highly attractive option and holds a unique position in South Florida, especially for the seasonal Floridian. The Club’s non-equity Premier Membership is designed to allow members to define their membership tenure by interests and the amount of time they are in Florida. The first year requirement is a minimum of three consecutive months and the second year thereafter members must take four or more consecutive months, with the options to choose the best category that fits their lifestyle—golf, tennis, or social.
