MEN’S GOLF ASSOCIATION AT THE CLUB AT BOCA POINTE HOLDS TOURNAMENT TO SUPPORT WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT FOR SECOND STRAIGHT YEAR

Wounded-Warrior-Project-Page-1024x638Far be it for members of the Club at Boca Pointe to miss an opportunity to help out an important cause. One such cause is the Wounded Warrior Project that helps wounded soldiers.

For the second straight year, the Men’s Golf Association hosted an 18-hole shotgun tournament on February 25th. All proceeds from the event—entry fees, tee box and greens sponsorship plus the support of Lou Bachrodt Chevrolet and Mazda dealership in Coconut Creek– went to the Wounded Warrior Project.

“It was very successful last year,” says Buck Deibel, director of golf for the Club at Boca Pointe. “The men’s league put it right back on the schedule for this season. What makes the event unique is that men and women are able to play with their own foursomes in the event.

“On top of that, entrants had the opportunity to win a car from Lou Bachrodt by scoring a hole-in-one on our 17th, par three hole.” While the car went unclaimed, it was exciting for members to hit their best shot in hope of driving home in a new car!
