Tennis players talk tennis; golfers talk golf. What happens when the two groups get together for a dinner-dance?

Boca Pointe is going to find out! “We are holding our first-ever combined opening season dinner-dance in early December,” explains Helen Karpel, general manager of The Club at Boca Pointe.

“I know it will be great! All the war stories from golf and tennis will be shared as music from the dance band and fine food from our Executive Chef Terry Daniels is enjoyed. Historically, we have had separate opening season dinner-dances for both sports. But, this year we felt, and the members agreed, that we should combine efforts with the dawning of a new era for The Club at Boca Pointe. We have such a friendly membership that our members welcomed the camaraderie,” adds Ms. Karpel.

The Club at Boca Pointe is the only country club in South Florida, a country club in Boca Raton, that offers members the opportunity to define their own lifestyle without the traditional cost of a country club membership—whether it is seasonal or annual membership and whether the interest is golf, tennis, social or some combination thereof.

Boca Pointe is opening its beautiful new Sports and Fitness Complex by year-end, which will house its dynamic tennis program, robust athletic center, and revitalized swimming pool. This is all complemented by a major renovation of the golf course that includes the a new irrigation system and new cart paths on all 18 holes, as well as new fairways on the front nine with the back nine fairways to follow next summer.

“Why not throw everyone together. After all, we have golfers who play tennis, tennis players who play golf, and one spouse or significant other playing one or both sports. It will be fun to have the war stories be told among the sounds of music.” smiles Ms. Karpel.
