Are you a … Couch potato? Very active? Moderately active? Into fitness, tennis or golf? How about cards or Mah Jongg? Married? Single?

Whatever category describes you the best, there is a full schedule of activities to meet your needs at The Club at Boca Pointe in the heart of Boca Raton…

For golf and tennis enthusiasts, you can enjoy the Club’s beautiful 18-hole Championship Golf Course and 16 Har-Tru tennis courts, along with robust golf and tennis programs, whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced player. You will be welcomed with friendly smiles and good games.

For the fitness guru, the new Sports and Fitness Complex will be opening soon, where you can work out, relax, or enjoy a steam or sauna. And, in the beautiful South Florida weather, a delightful pool to cool you off is always ready for the next swimmer.

For the card room aficionados, there are at least four card rooms in operation daily during the season with the first session starting around 12 noon and ending around 4 p.m., followed by an evening session usually from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. You name it, they play it. And, if you are a newbie to the Club, the social director helps you find games that match your abilities.

Beyond the sports and games, what about entertainment? Yes, The Club at Boca Pointe has special seating arrangements for Broadway Shows at the Broward Center, Kravis Center, Broward Stage Door, The Wick, and other theaters in the area. Don’t like to drive in Florida traffic? Well, you leave the driving to the Club, riding with friends in specially chartered buses when you go see shows like Annie, The Lion King, La cage aux Folles, and the Miami Ballet for starters.

Don’t want to leave the Boca Pointe campus? Then, there are two major educational offerings: First, the ever-popular Marleen and Harold Forkas FAU Lifelong Learning Center in which top professors from FAU provide topical discussions from politics to music! Secondly, there’s a wide-ranging seminar series by well-known lecturers such as Dr. Robert Watson, a leading political pundit, and Shelly and Larry Strickler from the world of television.

How about some casual fun? The Friday night Showtime Series featuring top nationally known talent from singers to comedians to impressionists offers great times among friends! The Club also holds several themed dinner dances throughout the year ranging from New Year’s Eve, Sweetheart Dance, Memorial Day, July 4 and Labor Day. These are coupled with pool parties and Holiday Day Carnival for the youngsters.

For the single members, there is also a fun slate of activities. The agenda involves special trips, outings, and social dances through an active Interclub schedule with many other country clubs in South Florida.

Oh no, you are not finished, yet. Those are just some of the activities scheduled by the social director at The Club at Boca Pointe.

There are numerous clubs and groups within the Club at Boca Pointe that provide its members with more activities during the year.

The biggest club within Boca Pointe is the Adventurers Club, some 200 members strong, that schedules a wide variety of events during the season. For example, they took a trip to the Air Force Base in Homestead to watch F81s take off and then toured the facility as well as went to the Everglades on a special tour.

Then, there is the new “What’s Up” group featuring once-a-month unique activities and speakers. The first one enabled members to test drive a Tesla! Oh, and let’s not forget about the TLC (Today Life Continues) club for single women looking to live a fuller life and share fun things together.

No matter what your “cup of tea,” Boca Pointe has an activity, group or club to more than quench your thirst! Visit Boca Pointe’s website, to learn more.
